Now, both specials and movies are all available to watch at home, and they're on whenever you want, thanks to streaming. Or there were the ones you saw on TV - if you remembered to check the listings and keep track of when they aired, because once they were gone, that was it for a year. If you can think back to the days before Netflix, you'd remember that there were two different types of Christmas movies: There were the ones that came out in the theater, and required convincing your parents to take a trip to the multiplex during the hustle-bustle of the holidays (and all the planning, popcorn and time that entails) in order to see them.
